Step 1:
Watch a video and ask some questions:
Do you like reading?
What type of book do you like?
Step 2:
New words:
What type of book do you like?
Write down the type of book under each picture.
Then put a tick in the box if you have read this type of book before.
1、Play a guessing game:
What type of book does he/she like?
2、Listen to Sandy and Daniel’s conversation and answer the questions:
（1）What is Daniel’s favourite type of book?
（2）What is he reading now?
3、.What does Sandy like to read?
What book does she think is great?
Work in pairs and talk about the type of the book you like and why you like it. Use the conversation as a model.
4、Work in groups ,choose your favourite book ,talk about some points and do a book recommendation.
5、Listen to the tape again and try to catch the answers:
（1）Has Hobo decided what to do with the books?
（2）What does Eddie want to use the books to do?
6、Read in different ways and fill in the blanks.
7、Reading is a good habit. So read more and think more.
8、Some sayings about reading.
