Step1.Free talk
1. How many types of TV programmes do you know?
2. What kind of TV programmes do you like best? Why?
3. How long do you spend watching TV every day?
Step2 Presentation
Millie wants to interview three students about the TV programs they like and they dislike.She wrote down what she knows about these students before the interviews. Look at the table below and answer:
(1).W hat’re their names?
(2).Which grades are they in?
(3).What do they like to do?
Step4 Listening
1. Listen to the tape and tell the TV programmes which they like and dislike
2.      Listen to the interview again and fill in the blanks of part A2.
3.      Checks the answers.
4. According to the interview, Help Millie finish the report.
5.  Check the answers.
6. Read the report and explain if need.
Step5 Speak up
1.      Listen to the dialogue between Millie and Kitty then answer some questions
(1).What kind of TV programme does Millie like best?
(2).Does Kitty like watching programme about animalsWhy or why not?
(3).What kind of TV programme does Kitty like best?
(4).Who watches more TV every day, Millie or Kitty?
2. Read the dialogue.
3. Make up dialogues:
Talk with your partner about your TV viewing habits, using Kitty and Millie’s dialogue as a model.
Step6 Debate:
For(支持): It’s good for students to watch TV in their spare time.
Against(反对): It’s bad for students to watch TV in their spare time.
Sum up:  Don’t be a couch potato. No matter what kind of TV programme is your favorite, Watching TV too much does harm to your mind and body!
