Teaching process:
Step one: Review
1. Say the rhyme:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Saturday.
2. CAI: Quick respond of twelve months.
Today is Thursday,
The 15th of September.
Step two: Teaching
1. T: What date is it today ?
S1:It’s the 15th of September.
T: The 15th of September. It’s Xiao Ming’s birthday today! Let’s say “Happy birthday!”
Then sing the song “Happy birthday to you!” together. And teach “birthday”.
2. T: Today is Xiao Ming’s birthday. When’s your birthday?
(Let the student look at the blackboard and try to answer)
S3: My birthday’s on…
(1) Teach this sentence: Let the students say about their birthday.
(2) Teach the question, practice: Do a survey and talks about the result.
3. T:Today is Xiao Ming’s birthday . He gets some birthday presents. Look! Here are his presents.
Then teach “present”.
Let the students know the things about birthday presents.
4. T: xx, what would you like?
(Let the student look at the blackboard and try to answer)
